Børselvosen nature reserve is an important habitat for birds, and is an especially important resting area for migrating wading birds. The Red Knot (Calidris canutus) can be observed in large flocks during the spring migration in May. Other numerous species at Børselvosen include Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica), Dunlin (Calidris alpina) and Ringed Plovers (Charadrius hiaticula). On the north side of the reserve it is a shelter with a great view of the delta area by Børselva rivers outlet.
